Finally, after we had two futile
matings, we are happy to announce that
TOMBOUKTOU´S
U´TIDET (Bahran
Idi n´Illeli x Ch. Tombouktou´s Qarqabu) got
her first litter
of 4 males and 3 females
in all shadings of red/fawn. It is not for sure yet, if some
of the puppies are sandcoloured. the litter is sired by
CHEGA DE GARDE EPEE
( Al Hara´s Piruett x V´Amschisch de Garde Epee),
who is a refined, noble male, always in a happy mood with
sometimes clownish behavior and a friendly and open
character. This litter has a low COI of 6,42 % calculated
from 10 generations and includes 8 recently imported,
desertbred Azawakhs in the first seven generations of it´s
ancestry. Serious inquiries are welcome. Don´t hesitate

F-LITTER
When I bred Tidet this time I
almost had no hope she would get pregnant after two
successless matings the year before. So I decided to breed
Tamulai too and now both got a nice litter. This will become a
very lively wintertime !! A few days after Tidet also
TOMBOUKTOU´S
X´TAMULAI (Al
Hara´s Vakuru x Takute´al Ifriqiya) whelped her first
litter of four males and two females sired by
NATITINGOU
N SHAT EHAD
(Uraysh n´Agzir x Kashma Houdi n´shat Ehad), a noble
and impressively laid-back and friendly male. He has already
sired my C litter and inherited
his great character to his beautiful offspring.
The COI of this
litter is very low being only
4,68 % calculated from 10 generations
and includes 6 recently imported, desertbred Azawakhs in the
first six generations of it´s ancestry. The puppies are
coloured in
various shades of red and fawn. Serious inquiries are

The
goal of Tombouktou's Azawakh is to breed dogs which evoke, through
an appearance at once elegant and ascetic, the type of dogs
belonging to Africa's Sahelian savannah: the authentic idi of the
Kel Tamasheq. While avoiding over-stylized physical
characteristics, to breed for dogs which display
stable,balanced temperaments who can be reliably called upon to
perform the characteristic functions of the breed: the passion
of the chase and the fearlessness of the guardian. In the raising
of puppies I try to provide positive and correct conditions which
lay the foundation for proper further socialization; puppies are
raised inside the house, have free access to the dog run, and are
closely attached to me as I go about the duties of my daily
life. They are not isolated from other animals, in fact they are
raised by the whole "pack" of older Azawakh as well as cats!
Daily walks (both on and off leash), biking, exercises on the
race-track...these are as much a part of their lives as relaxing on
the sofa or taking a sun-bath in the dog run.
My
Azawakh are both pets and companions who pass the days with me and
enrich my life.
I
hope for and expect similar living conditions in the homes of the
puppies I place. For me placing a puppy is so much more than a
commercial transaction. I am looking for people who can share
a similar approach to the raising of Azawakh.
